Doritos // The Hunter

A Doritos spec-ad I worked on for OddMachine in 2011. 
We shot this footage in the Fall, so there were no leaves on the trees.
In order for this spot to look nice, the plan was then to composite lively trees into the background behind the talent.

I used hi-rez images of mid land trees and several animation techniques to bring some life into them. I set an arrangement and made sure they felt like they belonged in their spaces.  The talent needed to be rotoscoped back on top.

After all was said and done, we ended up with a short that looks much more proffesional now that there are healthy green trees in Spring!
