OddMachine shot this spot in both Lone Pines, California and London, England with Ranbir Kapoor.  I was VFX Supervisor on both shoots and made sure tracking and green screen data was of quality to take back to Chicago for post.

The reason we had to shoot at two locations was that our talent Mr. Kapoor couldn't make it to California where the shoot needed to take place. The client needed the location in the spot to be indistinguishable yet beautiful. Our location Lone Pines, California met all the criteria and was the perfect place to do donuts with a Ferrari Spyder!

The second problem to solve was that we needed the Ferrari to go off-road. This wasn't going to happen practically for obvious reason of risking damage to the sports car. We planned ahead and shot plates to create this effect in post.

I lead the graphics team to create assets and process the shots. We used several plates combined with tracking and clean up work to put Ranbir and his Ferrari into the desert scene. We also used similar techniques to make the Ferrari go off-road. The fork in the road did not exist either and had to be created and composited as well. I finished the compositing in Nuke Studio and After Effects.
